In an effort to create a special feel throughout the community of Plainview during this holiday season, the Plainview Economic Development, The City of Plainview, and The Plainview Chamber of Commerce created many activities designed to engage the public, as well as promote our locally owned businesses and attractions from Nov. 28th – Dec. 25th.
Take delight in the fun-filled festivities of Building a Bear, Cookie Decorating, The Candy Cane Window Decorations, Craft and Vendor Shows, and the Plainview High School Band and Choir. Especially savor the moment of the beautiful baby enjoying the simple things in life!
Enjoy watching the 2019 Christmas Parade of Lights at Plainview, with Scott Born and Mary’s Restaurant playing host to CHI Health’s Parade of Trees. The Plainview Telephone Company and Hodson Lumber & Concrete sponsored a “Santa Meet and Greet” event.
The parade of trees was a marvelous addition and were viewed from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m at Mary’s. Santa was available during his busiest season from 5-6 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m. He enjoyed seeing people of all ages, listening to everyone’s Christmas wishes, and spreading the Christmas spirit!
We hope you enjoy reliving the fun and festive mood that has been created in Plainview this year for Christmas. Remember to spread cheer and joy by also shopping local this holiday season. You never know what you might find in locally owned shops!
“We hope that the community enjoys all the HOMEtown Holidays events being offered this year,” said Susan Norris, Plainview Economic Development Director.
