She is the co-founder and CEO of Match Health, a digital health platform that brings greater awareness and accessibility to transformative health innovations. Match Health has developed and maintains a vast video library that reviews various medical conditions and different innovations that have been developed to treat them.
Prior to starting Match Health, Kavita served as a Marketing Director for two medical device startups, Biomerix Corporation and FoxHollow Technologies. In these roles, Kavita drove the introduction of health innovations targeting tissue repair and peripheral arterial disease.
Kavita also has significant experience, working as a consultant to both startups as well as larger organizations providing strategy and go-to-market expertise introducing novel medical device technologies to the market in the fields of cardiovascular health, orthopedics, general surgery, and women’s health.
Kavita grew up in Rochester Hills, MI and graduated from Michigan State University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (Eli Broad College of Business) and earned her MBA from the University of Michigan (Ross School of Business) in 2004. Kavita lives in the Boston area with her husband Omari and their twin boys.
Omari is a medical technology executive, entrepreneur, author and investor with substantial experience launching novel cardiac medical technologies globally. Presently he is the President and Chief Commercial Officer of CardioFocus, an innovator and manufacturer of a leading atrial fibrillation ablation technology.
Prior to joining CardioFocus, Omari held the role of Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Cardiac Dimensions, an early-stage cardiovascular company with a pioneering mitral valve repair system. Earlier in his career, he led the highly successful launch of the HeartMate II® Left Ventricular Assist System®, a breakthrough artificial heart technology, serving in the role of Business Unit Director at Thoratec Corporation.
Omari is the co-author of Your MBA Game Plan: Proven Strategies for Getting into the Top Business School, which became a leading book on MBA admissions strategy. He along with his co-author established an MBA admissions services firm in 2004, which was subsequently purchased in 2006 by Veritas Prep the largest privately held test preparation and graduate school admissions consulting company in the world.
A proud Spartan, Omari grew up in East Lansing and graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) in 1999 with bachelor’s degrees in Supply Chain Management (Eli Broad College of Business), International Relations (James Madison College) and German (College of Arts & Letters). In 2004, he earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. Omari currently lives in the Boston area with his wife Kavita and their twin boys.
