This meditation is inspired by an idea shared by one of our beloved teachers (Dr. Lorin Roche) that of the “Ache for the Un-lived Life”.
This “ache” and the inner noise we sometimes experience when we stop and sit in meditation can make us uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, in fact, that we may choose not to stop, look, feel and tune in to our inner lives and meet what is actually happening.
If we consider this ache (and the resulting noise and turmoil of thoughts, ideas and images) to be the natural sensation of our life force (Shakti) simply wanting expression, to be heard and acknowledged, we can perhaps invite ourselves to sit with it more often. To listen. We may evenre-imagine the so-called sensation of inner noise as the voices and conversations of our chakras (our inner energy personalities), all getting together to chat about what is needed to live and love and serve as our fullest expression!
The practice begins with sharing context followed by a guided 15 minute meditation which begins at 7:54. You may want to have a cushion to sit upon, or rest in a chair. The video will mostly be silent with a prompt or two (so you know it is still running) before the final closing.
*Note if you need a good stretch or a full yoga class before sitting, try any of our posted practices.
