Rob Russen began his music career as record producer, song writer and musician after his farther loaned him the money to set up Castle records in Philadelphia. His farther hoped that this career would not blossom like it did and he would get a ‘real job’. The first two groups signed to Castle records were The Millionaires and The Ellingtons, popular groups on the UK’s Northern Soul scene.
